Versatile actor Irfan Khan passes away at the age of 54

India’s veteran and finest actor “Irfan Khan ‘’ who predominantly works in Hindi Cinema dies at the age of 54 in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai

According to the reports, he suffered from the infection called “Colon” due to which he was admitted to the hospital yesterday where he was supervised by his wife Sutapa and sons Babil and Aryan Khan.

Before this ailment, khan was battled with a tumour and came out of it with greater impunity. But untowardly, this time he wasn’t capable of enduring the treatment and passed away on Wednesday leaving his traces of prolific work in Indian Cinema.

Irfan Khan is known for his versatility in films. He created a separate niche in the silver screen by delivering acting laconically. It’s a God’s gift we can say if someone has the ability and personage to portray all types of roles and Irfan is one among them but he is critically acclaimed and remembered for portraying negative roles.

His contribution towards Indian Cinema is considered a masterpiece as he portrayed varied roles in all his films. Irfan made his acting debut with the Bollywood film “Salaam Bombay” alongside “NanaPatekar” under the direction of “Mira Nair” in the year 1988 where he fought over a decade to have a stable career in the cinema Industry. His notable works include “Haasil(2003), Maqbool(2004), Life in a metro(2007), Paan Singh Tomar(2011), Lunchbox(2013), Piku(2015), Hindi Medium(2017), Angrezi Medium(2019) for which he received Filmfare and National awards.

Irfan worked in commercial films alongside big celebrities as well as for the small budget movies where the story is the main plot to take it forward.

Irfan khan, called as a global actor as he worked in Hollywood as well as British films with the notable team. His international projects such as The Warrior(2001), The Namesake(2006), Slumdog Millionaire(2008), Life of Pi(2012), Jurassic World(2015), and Inferno(2016) brought world-wide recognition to his work.

He worked for the Tollywood film “ Sainikudu” as an antagonist alongside “Mahesh babu, Trisha and PrakashRaj” under Gunashekhar’s direction. In Fact which was his only Telugu film so far.

In March 2018, Irfan Khan was diagnosed with a NeuroEndocrine Tumor after which he left for London for treatment. After a few months, he returned to India in February 2019 for the shooting of the “Angrezi medium” which was his last film, and then after a brief stay, he moved to London to heal the CANCER.

Amid the treatment of NeuroEndocrine Tumor, Irfan gathered a lot of courage and confidence to stay strong in tough times where he battled cancer with hope and positivity. He returned to India with flying colours in September last year after successful surgery.

Irfan’s mother Saeeda Begum died at the age of 95 due to age-related ailments on Saturday which was on 25 April 2020. It is sad to say that his last days were so hell and miserable as he couldn’t even attend his mother’s funeral due to an uncompromising lockdown.

Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachan, Soojit Sircar, Deepika Padukone, Sharukhan, Katrinakaif, Shilpa Shetty took to social media to offer condolences to his family and expressing grief over Irfan’s sudden death news amid corona pandemic stating his loss is a void to the Hindi cinema.
