“Jaanu” an Earnest remake of Tamil film “96”
Jaanu(2020)
Sometimes things do not fall as we think because destiny plans some other things in our fate. Exactly Jaanu movie is all about that. Unplanned destiny upsets the beautiful relation of Ram and Jaanu after their matriculation without the culpability of both.
A Reunion after 15 years made them reminiscence their past as well as restored their faith in friendship and love.
While watching Jaanu, which is an official remake of Tamil film”96″ reminds me of Goutham Menon’s bilingual film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya and Ye Maya Chesave.
I mean not in the sense of story but it’s about the essence of the original flavour keep same except the language. When you watch those two films, you find no difference except actors and language and Jaanu falls under the same category,
Sharwaanand is an eye-candy in this film where he slightly overshadowed Samantha with his stellar performance and not only that he completely emulated what I can say “ Superseded” Vijaysetupathi in the role of Ram
Samantha brought that dulcify on the screen with her presence where she performed cogently in Jaanu role
Director C Premkumar again succeeded in this endeavour without blemishing his own classic “96”. Govind Vasanth tunes let us into a pleasant mood
Sai Kiran Kumar, a budding actor from Hyderabad played the role of young Ram
Gauri Kishan nailed her character but the young couple didn’t make an everlasting impression like the original one
As usual Varsha Bollama looks cute in the endeared student role.
Vennela Kishore, Saranya Pradeep, Thagubothu Ramesh, Giribabu, Tanikella Bharani forms the rest of the cast!
Overall Jaanu is an earnest as well as the commendable remake of 96 which propels audience to childhood days.
